C罗在曼联1-1战平巴列卡诺的友谊赛中首次亮相，而上半场休息间隙，滕哈赫似乎与C罗进行了一次并不和平的交流，之后C罗在半场被换下。而C罗在比赛结束前10分钟就离开老特拉福德，预计对阵布莱顿的比赛，C罗最多只能坐在替补席上。

由于现阶段没有合适的离队选项，越来越多的迹象表明C罗下赛季将被迫留在曼联，而俱乐部也坚称不会出售球员。

目前切尔西、拜仁、马竞、巴萨和巴黎都对C罗转会保持距离，而与那不勒斯的传闻暂时还没有进展，租借加盟里斯本竞技则被认为是不可能的。
