关于新球场的名称，承包曼联新球场项目的建筑公司Foster and Partners在一份报告中将曼联的新球场称为“新特拉福德球场”（New Trafford Stadium）。

英媒表示，曼联新球场的名字不排除未来添加冠名的可能。目前球场建设还处于概念阶段，曼联股东拉特克利夫表示，在政府的支持下，球场建设周期有望缩短至5年。
